Babygirl found her forever
home with some assistance from the Farm and now will happily enjoy a great
life with other dogs and loving guardians who live in upstate NY. SHANNON: is a sweet
young border collie (mix) who was picked up three months ago by dog
control, skinny, scared and pregnant after a month of wandering town,
a broken rope knotted around her neck. She has since weaned her
surviving pup, put on approximately 20 lbs. and regained much of her trust
and love for people. Although she is untrained and a little shy, she
is very gentle, eager to please, loves attention, and absolutely adores
the company of other dogs. She is slightly larger than the average
female border collie, approximately 50 lbs. Please contact the farm
for more information. |

HALLIE was the last
puppy from the pa group to find her place and that she did - with two of
our board members who recently adopted Bradley and another Border Collie
from the farm, Cassie, last year. Little Hallie had her mind set on living
with them when she met them one day at our Board Meeting so she she
started communicating to her new guardians, one of which is a reknown
animal communicator. Through some interesting emails back and forth
between animal communicators, everything became crystal clear that Hallie
wanted to live and work at Spring Farm Cares, helping with the sanctuary
work. She knew exactly who she wanted to be with and so, as the story
goes, the rest is history. She now lives in upstate NY - her wish came
true! And, she says she plans to be involved in work at Glen Highland Farm
so stay tuned for more from Hallie!!
HALLIE
is now 11 weeks old and ready to find her new life. She has been waiting
for just the right border collie home where people have lots of experience
with the breed so they understand her mind and emotions. Hallie is very
reflective, watching everything around her carefully making sense of how
things work and what goes on day to day. She is also showing herding
instincts now, carefully stalking the tennis ball and starting to give the
border collie eye to other dogs around her. She loves being with other
Border Collies and loves people even more, happy to engage with everyone.
Hallie will only go to a home with Border Collie experience and at least
another Border Collie. She is one of 18 dogs surrendered to the Farm from a guardian
in PA who had personal troubles. |

JESTER found his
forever home with another Border Collie and loving guardians who were
thrilled to meet him and fell in love with is sweet, good nature. He was
happy to give lots of kisses and also run around with his new furfriend
chasing toys. Jester may get a chance to do animal therapy with his new
guardian who will be counseling clients and wants to take him into nursing
homes and hospital wards with children. He would be superb doing his
work, spreading love and brilliance. Jester now lives in southern Pa.
JESTER:
A 1 year old Border Collie, Jester is very friendly, easy going and
playful like most young Border Collies. He is good with other dogs so
could live with another dog or even be a solo dog because he is so people
focused. He is very smart, eager to please and likes kids. Jester has been
trained on the invisible fence system and is good with cats. Jester
would be an incredible therapy dog, he absolutely loves people and is
great with kids. He was surrendered to the farm from central
NY due to a landlord issue. |

need someone willing to work with her to build her confidence at times.
Once she understands what is what, she is very comfortable. She is good
with cats and weighs about 25 pounds. Jackie was part of a group of
dogs that came to the Farm through a NJ breeder going out of business.

his forever home with an adopter from the Farm who came back for a
companion for Mr. Wiggles, formerly Piper. He and Skipper were on the
exact wavelength, making up toy games including lots of soccer ball play,
racing around the fields like they' d been together forever. Skipper now
has two fur friends and lives in upstate NY with loving guardians who
thought he was a wonderful addition to their lives.

home with loving guardians who understand the breed and are happy to have
another Border Collie in their life as a companion but also as a working

Patch found her way
back to the Farm and has clearly chosen to live here in our home. From the
moment she came back, she easily joined our gang, racing, chasing and
herding and settled in beautifully in the living room on evenings. Patch
carries great wisdom and will be sharing it with everyone she meets who
visit the Farm. Patch happily lives with Lillie and John now and
their 15 dogs.
PATCH:
A petite 9 year old Border Collie, Patch is a sweetheart, she loves to be
with her person, truly a gentle girl. She is very smart, alert and eager
to learn. Patch loves being outside to run and play and is great with
other dogs, especially making up herding games with other border collies.
She has great recall off leash and loves to hike. Patch would be happiest
being a companion, giving her love and loyal focus to someone special who
would adore her brilliance. Born with only one eye, she has no
disadvantage at all in maneuvering and responding in true Border Collie
style! Patch is interested in toys, has some herding instinct and would be
happy with someone interacting with her in an involved relationship. She
is about 35 pound and good with cats. Patch came to the Farm in 2003

loving home where she happily lived until the guardian had to be
transferred to South Africa.

MAGGIE MAY found her
forever home before arriving at the Farm and even before we could get some
great pictures of her! She was flown in from Best Friends Animal Sanctuary
and due to meet Lillie at the Philly airport, but last minute changes
meant one of our Board members and web host, Cindy, would go- but at the
last minute, she couldn't make it either. So we turned to a long time
friend of the Farm who happily agreed to go. Unbeknownst to her, she was
going to meet her new dog! Upon meeting her, it was crystal clear that
there was no way she would be sending Maggie May to the Farm...it was
truly a heart connection and love at first sight. So Miss Maggie May will
be happily living in NJ, quite a long way from Utah! Everything happens
for a reason....the miracle of the Farm through these dogs just happens
over and over and over again.
MAGGIE MAE is a 3yr old female Border Collie who
is coming to the Farm from Best Friends Animal
Sanctuary in Utah (we have taken a dozen border collies from them since it
is hard to place them properly, arrives 2/12) She is mild-mannered
and was raised with both kids and other dogs. Described as
housetrained, leash-trained, pleasant, obedient. Very well-mannered, fine
with male and female dogs, and loves handling. Best Friends had adopted
her out to a home, but she was kicked by a horse and it broke her right
rear leg and the folks brought her back to the shelter. The
original owner was a developmentally disabled individual who also had
health issues and couldn’t care for Maggie.

Marvelous Maex landed
in a remarkable home that matches his unique personality perfectly...he
will be living with a guardian who not only loves the breed but devotes
her life to training dogs for movies and commercials. She came to visit
Maex while scouting for a potential movie based on the book, A Dog Year,
and ended up falli ng in love for herself! Maex will get his shot at
stunts and productions of course but most of all, he will be her
beloved companion learning all kinds of tricks and having fun racing and
playing on his own ten acres! Maex happily heads off, maybe for stardom,
but for sure, lots of love!
MAEX:
A 2 yr old old Border Collie, Maex is a high energy, playful dog who is
very very happy with any challenge. He loves toys and he wants to be
stimulated to use his mind, body and heart all together. He is a
delightful boy who will flourish with a sport outlet. He is very athletic
and also very relationship oriented, a real people dog. Maex also loves
the water, happy to swim and also happy to explore outdoors. He is a real
thinker so will be best suited to a border collie savvy guardian and will
be placed with older children or in an adult home because he tends to be
very physical in his play style. Maex is a confident male,
likes to be the center of attention in his home so will be placed as a
solo dog. He has some nervousness around men so will need someone with
training skills to help build his trust and confidence with new strangers.
Maex is about 45 pounds, typical in size. He is curious about cats
so will do best with dog savvy cats and some supervision but he does take
corrections easily about the cats. He was surrendered to the Farm
from NY due to his energy level.
