Beautiful LACIE found exactly the right guardian who would cherish her for all her brilliance and love her for her sweet nature, too. Within minutes of meeting her, she knew that this was the girl she wanted in her life and Lacie clearly agreed. She’ll have 10 acres to call her own and be with her new FurMom 24/7. Lacie will get a chance to try lots of dog activities like agility, nosework, herding and whatever else feels like something she would like - we’re thrilled for her to have a new life that suits her so well. She now lives in Vermont

LACIE: A 10 month old Border Collie, Lacie is a very interesting girl, seemingly soft and even a bit shy, but then bold and curious and all energy! She is unfolding quickly at GHF as she interacts with other BC’s and clearly has some focus on toys and action. She loves her ball games and is very agile to catch anything tossed her way. She is smart, very, very sweet and full of classic BC traits. This girl will need an activity and a BC pal to handle her energy needs, ideally a male, since she is already showing the bossy female style and wants to be in control. Lacie has a lovely temperament with people and will develop beautifully in the right hands. She is about 30 pounds and good with cats. Lacie is a natural athlete, very swift in her movement and very agile with potential for sports.  Lacie was surrendered to GHF from a NY guardian who felt she couldn’t handle her energy needs. She was being crated 8-10 hours a day which was not best for her happiness.

JIMMI is one of those Border Collies with charisma so when his new guardians met him, it was a huge ‘click’ for them, absolutely the exact energy and brilliance they were hoping for and even more! They all felt that BC magic loud and clear and even though they looked at a great puppy to consider, it was Jimmi who won their hearts through and through. It’s easy to see that Jimmi knew this was his family! So, off to Canada for him where he’ll be with his new FurDad all the time, hanging out for hiking, swimming and every other activity he wants to try. His new family loves all the intensity and has big plans for this fabulous boy.

JIMMI: A 2 year old Border Collie, Jimmi is all action, an amazing athlete who really loves to run, chase and catch frisbees as well as anything else tossed his way! He is very high drive though also very loving once he’s inside and ‘work/play’ is done. Jimmi is only going to a seasoned BC guardian since he needs plenty to do mentally as well as physically. He could be a great hiking partner and also could have another BC pal though it’s not critical to his happiness. Jimmi loves people and is extremely social with everyone however on leash, he will need work since he is over the top in his reactions. He also needs a more rural setting since he reacts to movement of cars and bikes when too close. A recent move to NYC led to these behaviors which is why he was relinquished to GHF. Jimmi is a terrific Border Collie but does need the right setting as well as right adopters who understand the breed. He is good with cats and about 40 pounds.

KAINE found a new life with a mentor BC pal to provide some leadership and an extended family of dogs at home for lots of puppy action play, too! His new guardians were thrilled to make the drive for this spectacular pup, knowing he was exactly what they had been patiently waiting to find. Kaine, now named Flash, will have lots of outdoor activity as they ski and hike and live on 65 acres which is the perfect paradise for this active boy! He now lives in Massachusetts.

KAINE: A 4 month old Border Collie, little Kaine is aptly named cause he is "raising cain”- what a pistol this boy is! He came into GHF and integrated with the founder’s large pack with all the confidence of a pup who had been there his whole life…clearly little Kaine needs something to do and has big ambitions! He is very agile, leaping from the floor to the couch with perfect balance and happily ducks into the fridge the minute the door opens…curious and bold to help himself to any findings. Kaine will do well with a seasoned BC adopter who understands the intellect as well as energy needs cause while Kaine is a sweetheart, loves everyone and is as friendly as can be, he is a spitfire. He is fine with cats. Kaine is here cause like all Border Collie puppies, he was adorable when little and then a handful as he was ready for the big world!

WILL found a great new life fast cause he was ready for action! So active and so eager to jump into anything, Will now gets a life where sports are a big part of the fun…agility and herding! He joins three aussie pals for a busy life of play and learning. He’ll also get plenty of hiking and swims in since his new FurMom loves to mix up sport training with outdoor fun! We’re thrilled for this wonderful pup and his new family. He now lives in NY.

WILL: A 5 month old Border Collie/Aussie mix, Will is a live-wire, joyful and curious and bold. He loves to do everything super fast, whether it’s jumping up on the couch or checking out a new space, he clearly has lots of energy. Will is super friendly, outgoing and likes to say hi, a beaming, bright boy who loves life. He is a player with young friends and appropriate with more mature ones. Will came to GHF from a dog lover who stepped in to help three pups from an Amish farm. They were an accidental litter who, without help, would have met a sad fate, being shot. Thankfully, that’s no longer a worry, and we’re celebrating along with Will since he’s going to have a loving home soon! He is good with dog savvy cats and about 30 pounds.

Little LYLE is about to have a big Border Collie life, joining two herding pals who hike all the time on their six acres and nearby farm land in PA. His new FurMom is eager to introduce him to swimming too as well as agility, giving him a chance to see what he likes best. He happily met his new buds and headed off to just the right life for him!

LYLE: A 3 mo old Border Collie, Lyle is a fun loving, outgoing, check out the world kind of pup! He is good natured and boldly enjoys whatever comes his way with all four feet first - quite a character. He is not overly intense but just energetic like most BC’s so would benefit from a canine pal to handle his energy. He loves other dogs and truly wants to join whatever action means fun. A big toy boy, he is also sweet and cuddly, quite the charmer. Lyle is about 15 pounds. Lyle & Lyza were surrendered to GHF by their NY guardian who realized, four days into life with the pups, that she had made a mistake and knew they needed something more than she could provide. Thankfully, she trusted GHF would provide. They originally came from Utah. Lyle is a white with red merle accents.

WEBB found a wonderful family to give him a loving home forever! He has a new canine pal for lots of fun and plenty of acres to call his own for hikes and play. They fell in love instantly and were thrilled to take him home! Webb loved them just as much and happily headed out to New Hampshire !

WEBB: A 5 month old Border Collie/Aussie mix, Webb is a smart little guy, eager and curious, boldly checking out new things with glee. He is a happy character and already blossoming at GHF. He is energetic and playful but not overly intense. Webb has played happily with young herding pals but does best with mature dogs, especially females. We feel strongly that he will blossom with a mentor BC or Aussie to show him the ropes about his new life. He has a super sweet, soft side, hesitating with new situations so a strong female dog instantly gives him guidance. Webb bonds very quickly to his person and is very loving. Webb came to GHF from a dog lover who stepped in to help three pups from an Amish farm. They were an accidental litter who, without help, would have met a sad fate, being shot. Thankfully, that’s no longer a worry, and we’re celebrating along with Webb since he’s going to have a loving home soon! He is good with dog savvy cats and about 30 pounds

Little WADE found a new life with a canine pack that loves to race and chase, play ball and have fun! His new FurMom wanted a pup to introduce to agility as well as as adding a new family member. He won her heart quickly so off he went to Connecticut for lots of learning, lots of action and lots of love, too! He’ll be with her 24/7 and have plenty of cuddling!

WADE: A 4 month old Border Collie/Aussie/Cattle dog, Wade is very sweet and also very active. Curious and outgoing, he loves to explore checking out everything wherever he goes. He is very observant and quick to try something new. Wade has good body awareness for his age, likely coming from the freedom he had as a pup. He loves toys and also other herding pals, mixing very well with adults and younger friends. We want Wade to have a very active life with another herding pal since he’s so enjoys the interaction. He has the perfect balance of energy, focus and attentiveness with a person plus great dog skills. He is 25 pounds and good with cats. He is one of 7 pups from NY Amish farms where they were all allowed to roam the property, interacting with adult dogs as well as siblings. While this is not ideal from a dog lover’s perspective, this situation does make for outgoing, confident pups who are at ease with new things so Wade, like the other pups, are very unique. A neighboring dog lover stepped in to insure their safety, getting them to GHF

Sweet PENNIE found a new life where she’ll have a canine pal to hike with on 77 acres to call her own! Plus, besides lots of hikes exploring the countryside, she’ll get to do agility, frisbee or whatever she ends up enjoying. We are thrilled for her to have such a stimulating life and for her FurMom to open her heart to a great girl!

PENNIE: A 6 month old Border Collie mix, Pennie is a sweet girl with a gentle side with people, even a bit shy, but then turns on the big play style with dogs, totally confident and ready to race and chase. She loves having a canine pal and could even join a pack. The BC boys love her cause she is rough and tumble and all fun.  Pennie has an adorable, affectionate personality, loving to cuddle and share her heart. She also loves ball play and will entertain herself with a game of ‘two ball’, pushing one out as she drops another to the floor from her mouth. She is about 30 pounds and is good with dog savvy cats. She was from a NY litter where the guardian asked GHF to help find her a home.

Lovely LULU joins a BC family for a big life with acres of property for running, ball playing and herding her new BC buddy, Chewy who at age 18!!!, still has all the drive for retrieval!  These two were like two peas in a pod, with the same brains focused the same way, exactly. Her new FurDad wanted to have another great BC girl to share his life with so when he and his daughter came to visit, they knew LuLu was it!  She’ll have another senior BC pal at home, too, but he’s a little more fragile so couldn’t make the trip. We all chuckled watching the two girls ‘eye’ each other as the action unfolded!  LuLu now lives in NJ.

LULU: An 8 month old Border Collie, Lulu is the real deal. She is smart, focused, sensitive and catches onto everything quickly. She aims to please but also relies on her person to guide her, happy to have reassurance and a loving connection. LuLu seeks out people. She is absolutely happy to herd the other BC’s here but it’s a person that she is really seeking the most. Sweet as can be, her keen mind is apparent and can be developed with someone who really understands the soft yet strong nature of a young Border Collie. LuLu is good with cats. She was surrendered to GHF from a PA guardian due to the mix of toddlers and a herding dog - just not a good combination. She is about 30 pounds

LEO found a great life where he’ll be best pals with his new FurDad while he works their Farm, going everywhere he goes and even checking on the sheep! We know Leo loves the tennis ball so not sure what he’ll think of the other ‘work’ available to him now, but his new guardian doesn’t care cause he came for a canine buddy. He instantly loved Leo so off he’s gone to a new life where he’ll share his brilliance and great nature 24/7, loved completely. Leo now lives in Pennsylvania.

LEO: A 1 year old Border Collie, Leo is a doll, joyful, people oriented and of course, toy oriented, too like any young BC! He loves to cuddle and enjoys being by your side but he also absolutely loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a buddy who likes to play as much as him. He and other young BC’s at GHF, are mixing it up with major chase games every day and he’s happy as can be for that mental and physical stimulation. Leo is a smart boy who easily learns but isn’t overly intense, pushing for a big job. He’s happy about being a companion and adjusts well to new situations. He is good with cats and 45 pounds. Leo came to GHF from a NY home where having two toddlers and Leo just proved to be too much. He lived in one home since a pup.

Sweet POLLIE went home with former GHF adopters who were so thrilled to have this young girl as their family member. Patiently waiting for the right girl who could happily be a solo dog, Pollie, now Penny, is home forever. They just adored her, instantly. She will even have her own summer camp on 2 acres to explore and enjoy! She lives in Canada

POLLIE: A 1 1/2 year old Border Collie, Pollie is a smart girl that blossoms with one on one attention, cuddling and happy to be next to you. She is sensitive and will do best with a quieter home where someone can help her enjoy a new life where she is the center of attention. Pollie is used to sharing life with toddlers, most recently age 2 and 4 and before, that, young children, too so it’s time for her to be important. Having been through two homes already, she’s proof that a young BC is not ideal with a young family - the combination is just too much. Pollie has a lovely nature but will need time to become more settled, not having to react to chaos 24/7. We often see confused young herding dogs who do beautifully once removed from so much activity so they can think with guidance and consistently more geared to the dog. Pollie is about 35 pounds and good with cats. She was surrendered directly to GHF from NY guardians who knew a different life would suit her much better. Pollie is camera shy so we’ll keep working on better pictures!

Sweet, lovely NAYA found a new life with a pal named Kaia, ironically, instant pals soon as they met at GHF. Her new guardians came thinking a puppy was the fit for Kaia and couldn’t believe what happened when these two said hello - chase games and happy wiggles, like kindred spirits reunited - it was adorable to see. So, Naya found her new life in NJ.

NAYA: A petite 4 year old Border Collie, Naya is a sweet, sweet girl, a bit timid in fact, at first. She takes awhile to feel secure about being with someone new but once she knows you, she is just adorable, very affectionate. She loves attention and does her little ‘happy dance’ when all excited, bouncing around. Naya’s not very intense like some BC’s, she’s more companion oriented happy to be where you are though she will play with a ball for fun. She is very good natured and easy going. She lived with two small dogs and got along just fine so now she’s interacting with Border Collies and we’ll see how if her ‘inner BC’ kicks in at all being with other herding dogs. She is fine with cats and about 35 pounds. Naya must have a fenced yard since she got into the habit of running around the neighborhood where she lived in PA

Sweet LOUIE found a new life with dear Friends of the Farm who were ready to add a gentle soul to their lives. Louie is exactly who they were hoping to find and fell in love instantly, happy to have him as a new family member! He will have long walks exploring the countryside of Ct as well as beach walks which should be a blast for him! We’re thrilled he has a new forever home, really forever!

LOUIE: A 10 year old Border Collie, Louie came in as sweet as can be, hoping for someone he knows to be around but he’s doing pretty well with this big change to GHF, hanging in the Farmhouse Senior Sanctuary. He is getting some special TLC to help this boy handle his third move. Louie's first home changed years ago, thanks to Hurricane Sandy and now, due to a change in the family situation with a young toddler taking up the focus, he’s again homeless. We’re very happy to have Louie here and know that he will have another journey with someone soon cause he is certainly a gem. Sweet, smart and easy going, he’s not a major toy dog but loves to be with his person. Louie has never lived unfenced so we’d prefer a fenced yard at his age. He is good with cats and other dogs though like many mature BC’s, is most connected to his person. He is 45lbs. He came to GHF from NJ guardians who wanted to be sure he landed in good hands.

Wonderful WHIT found a new life with two canine pals who love to race, chase and play just like he does and also do agility! Whit will get a chance to learn all the canine activities that can stimulate his mind and grow to his potential, having a blast in this fun sport. A smart little guy, he’s going to love it and surely, excel! His new FurMom is a former adopter and vacations at GHF too so we’ll be happy to see this boy all grown up some summer! He now lives in New Hampshire.

WHIT: A 4 month old Border Collie/Aussie/Cattle dog, Whit is brilliant. He is super focused and action oriented, confident in doing what makes sense to him! He is very agile, moving his body easily to match where his mind wants to go - quite impressive compared to his siblings. Whit would really blossom with a job! He is attentive, learns fast and is eager for direction. Food oriented and so mentally sharp, he would be a blast to train. Whit is a strong willed pup so best with someone who understands the cattle dog nature. He is best with a confident mature dog since he ‘reads’ dogs beautifully and will interact in a much more mature way. He is 25 pounds and good with cats. Whit is one of 7 pups from NY Amish farms where they were all allowed to roam the property, interacting with adult dogs as well as siblings. While this is not ideal from a dog lover’s perspective, this situation does make for outgoing, confident pups who are at ease with new things so Whit, like the other pups, are very unique. A neighboring dog lover stepped in to insure their safety, getting them to GHF.

Brilliant little LYZA has a new life that suits her perfectly where she’ll have her own 10 acre farm and flock of sheep to oversee! Plus, she’ll have chickens and ducks and even rabbits in her new world, all of which she is going to help her new FurMom manage! Her new guardian loves the breed, having had a few beloved BC's but she needed another partner to step into those paws again on her farm. Lyza now Kelce joins her 24/7, living in Maine with plenty of time for hiking and frisbee and of course, learning all about herding! We are thrilled for this little powerhouse to have the BC playground she needed!!

LYZA: A petite 3 mo old Border Collie, this little pup has a huge presence already showing itself..she is extremely smart, very brave and clearly confident…a true female BC package already set to go! An impressive spirit is shining through with Lyza and she’ll only be handed off to a seasoned BC guardian for sure. She is a sweetheart, marvelous with her good nature and cuddly ways but when the action starts, she is the great thinker, observing, taking notes and then deciding what matters. This little girl jumped her way up onto a 42 inch high crate, determined to get out the window…not one try but numerous ones til she got what she wanted…a willful, brilliant pup who is bound to be a huge amount of fun for someone who understands this brain power.  If there is a door that is closed, she wants to go behind it. If there is a window to look out, she will monkey up anyway possible to see outside. Whatever she wants to do, she does, including now hanging with the founder’s big pack which is what she wanted all along. Lyza needs a serious job to do or she will invent one, non-stop!!!  She is about 15 pounds. Lyza was surrendered to GHF along with Lyle when her NY guardian, four days in, realized she’d made a huge mistake buying two BC pups. Thankfully, she trusted GHF to find them more proper lives. She’s originally from Utah.

Wonderful WAITE is now home, with a canine pal who at 15 months, is thrilled to have a play friend! They were adorable, instant buds, chasing, racing, play bowing and happily enjoying a new friendship. His new guardians were so happy to see the match unfold so easily! They so hoped for an active friend but also one who settles inside well, too. Watching Waite, they agree he is a special boy, a bit of an ‘old soul’ pup, gently understanding his new world. We couldn’t agree more. He now lives in Ct as their constant companion.

WAITE: A 4 month old Border Collie/Aussie/ Cattle dog, Waite is a gentle, sweet, people oriented boy. Quite the cuddler, he makes friends easily and loves everyone he meets. He is focused and observant, really watching everything around him, clearly a thinker. Waite loves to play with other herding dogs and also loves toys, especially the squeakers! He is a charming guy with potential to easily join a pack of another canine mentor pal. He is 35 pounds and good with cats. Waite is from a PA Amish farm, with the same father as the other 4 month old pups but a different mother.

LUCY went to a foster home to help her gain some confidence in the big world. No longer living in an apartment, it was time for her to spread her wings!  She did beautifully in her foster Mom’s pack and fit like a glove. The day Lucy was shown in an adoption, her Foster Mom just knew she could not let this very special sweet girl go so Lucy is officially home! She’s going to get to try agility, too!

LUCY: A very petite 10 month old Border Collie, Lucy is an adorable girl who loves attention, quite the cuddle bug, jumping right into your lap on the couch. She takes a little time to warm up to new people in new settings so we’d like to have another BC pal for her, preferably a male. Lucy does very well with other dogs and really enjoys making up chase herding games. She’s also loves to learn and very smart. Her fosterMom has taken her to the agility building and done some introductory work and found that Lucy has some potential. A sport outlet would be fun for her! Lucy is good with cats and about 25 pounds. Lucy was relinquished directly to GHF from a PA guardian with health issues. She previously lived in an apartment so is adjusting well to more freedom and exploration in a yard.

Sweet WYATT landed in a loving family with two canine pals, one a herding dog just like him! But, it was the little girl in the family that captured his interest instantly - both pairing up as if no one else existed!! Clearly his new FurMom & FurDad knew this was the pup they wanted to add for this great friendship to blossom. Wyatt will also have four acres to call his own, with lots of hikes each day on his new Farm where help keep track of the chickens and accompany his new FurMom each day. Wyatt now lives in NY.

WYATT: A 5 month old Border Collie/Aussie pup, Wyatt is a shy fellow who does well with a canine pal to give him signals that he’s secure and safe. He attaches to a person quickly and is very affectionate, asking for reassurance. He is going to a foster home to gain some confidence. A gentle soul, he should blossom well and become a wonderful companion. Wyatt came to GHF from a dog lover who stepped in to help three pups from an Amish farm. They were an accidental litter who, without help, would have met a sad fate, being shot. Thankfully, that’s no longer a worry. He is good with cats and about 30 pounds.

Wonderful WES found a new life with former GHF adopters who adore the herding dogs. They were thrilled to add this little guy to their lives where he’ll join a senior GHF alum and have a country paradise to call his own! His new FurDad made the 10 hour roundtrip for Wes, knowing he was exactly the young dog they wanted to add to their lives. Having worked in a school for the deaf, he knew exactly how to help Wes navigate the world if and when he needs special help! We’ll have pictures to add of the entry home, soon. Wes now lives in Ct.

WES: A 4 month old Border Collie/ Aussie /Cattle dog, Wes is a sweet guy with a gentle nature. He is curious and easy going, a bit of a follower so would benefit from another canine pal. Since his nature is soft, we will only place him with an easy going mature dog. He is quite the charmer with people, gently asking for attention and happy to give back lots of affection. He loves toys, too and will join into play easily. Wes is 25 pounds and good with cats. Wes has a hearing deficit so we will only place him with another canine friend. He is one of 7 pups from NY Amish farms where they were all allowed to roam the property, interacting with adult dogs as well as siblings. While this is not ideal from a dog lover’s perspective, this situation does make for outgoing, confident pups who are at ease with new things so Wes, like the other pups, are very unique. A neighboring dog lover stepped in to insure their safety, getting them to GHF.

WREN landed at our vet and upon arrival, one of our former Caretakers saw him and fell in love! She offered to foster him which of course was a great way to be sure adding another deaf pup to the pack would work which it did! He joins 2 GHF alums for a loving life where he’ll be totally adored. He’s going to get to try agility too!! we’re so happy for this gentle boy to find this new life!

WREN: A 4 month old Border Collie/Aussie /Cattle dog mix, Wren is a sweetheart. He is a gentle soul who joins in with other dogs easily and enjoys following wherever the action goes. Observant and smart, he is quickly learning about his new foster pack and special commands, too, since he has a hearing deficit. Wren is easy going and athletic, with good body awareness, exploring the world around him comfortably. He is good with cats and 25 pounds. Wren is benefiting from a foster setting since he can easily gain a good foundation with individual attention. He is one of 7 pups from NY Amish farms where they were all allowed to roam the property, interacting with adult dogs as well as siblings.  While this is not ideal from a dog lover’s perspective, this situation does make for outgoing, confident pups who are at ease with new things so Wren, like the other pups, are very unique.  A neighboring dog lover stepped in to insure their safety, getting them to GHF

ROSSI is home, staying at GHF with the founders. This remarkable pup blew our hearts open as he bravely tackled a tough disease where something as simple as eating is so hard. Spoonful by spoonful, we grew so very, very close and watched as he improved, but well aware that his future would be uncertain. A tough disease with no guarantees and anything able to go amiss at any time, we want him to be here to tackle whatever lies ahead. Rossi is loving life being a Border Collie in a big pack, racing, chasing and playing all day. We know his life is a delicate balance of fun and careful monitoring for any sign of aspiration pneumonia so we are committed to giving him all he needs. We love this little guy and his courageous spirit and will share his journey, forever, no matter the ups or downs.

We lovingly welcome Rossi officially to GHF as a resident!

ROSSI: A 5 month old Border Collie, Rossi is sharp as can be, fast and agile and classic in all the BC traits! He loves herding games with other BC’s and also loves his toys. A big time cuddler, he’s a great combination of being people oriented and also confident about the world around him. He would love a BC buddy who plays like he does and also someone around to be a real companion to him! Rossi has special medical needs with Megaesophagus which has been diagnosed fully by Cornell. He also underwent assessment at the University of Missouri for a breakthrough surgery option. At this time, he is not able to have that done but will be retested by March 2017. Once we know the outcome of this additional ‘swallow study’, we’ll be able to understand his needs more fully and if he will be able to benefit from surgery.

Little NASH has a big new journey ahead where his incredible charm will be available to many people…he’s going to be a therapy dog!  The ‘little bear’ as we all call him is a like a people magnet drawing anyone nearby to say  hello so we are sure this special quality will work miracles for many people. Once through his training, he’ll be helping chronic care children as well as adults in hospitals.   His new FurMom loves to bring the joy of a dog to people who need hope, healing and love. She was instantly drawn to Nash when she saw his story and knew he would be a perfect partner.  Nash is all love and we know will quite an impact on people as the years unfold. For fun, he’ll get to try agility and freestyle, learning some fun dance moves to show off as part of his therapy work! He now lives in NJ.

NASH: A 6 month old Border Collie mix, Nash is the cutest guy to land in rescue lately - what a gem! He is very very small, likely mixed with a tiny dog. In no way, will he be a full sized Border Collie and he’s even smaller than a jack russell terrier. Nash is extremely adorable with a super sweet nature and loves toys of all kinds! A brilliant thinker, he really likes challenges and would be happy with someone who wanted to challenge him mentally with training and toys. He has really blossomed on high quality food and good care, looking a million times better than the skinny guy who arrived at GHF. He is still a little overwhelmed with bigger dogs so he has befriended other small mixes and just loves to play!! Nash is good with cats. He was abandoned outside to fend for himself, picked up by someone who spotted him and thankfully took him to a PA shelter where they were happy to have GHF step in to help. To help show his very petite size, we tucked him in the lap of one of our Caretakers.

ARTY landed a really great life with 32 acres to call his but even better than that, he’s got new guardians who love herding breeds and a FurMom who is his constant companion. He’ll get a chance to try agility and hike plenty of the property for fun, too. This special little guy is exactly what they were waiting to add to their family, patiently hoping a new pup would land at GHF and he did! Arty headed out to his new life in Massachusetts, happy to have lots of attention!

ARTY: A 4 month old Border Collie mix, possibly Aussie, Arty is a smart boy with lots of focus for toys but first and foremost, he loves his person. A quick jump into your lap and he’s happy to hang for cuddling. Soon as it’s time for action, he joins in right away, whether it be with other dogs or heading off to whatever his person is doing - he loves to be with you. Arty is not overly intense with high energy traits, instead, he’s more thoughtful and watches everything before he takes action. While he’s a little guy, he’s clearly a big thinker! Arty easily handled the Founder’s big herding pack but would blossom with only one other dog or even as a solo pup, he’s so looking to connect. He is confident and outgoing plus as sweet as can be. He weighs 25 pounds, normal for his age.

BRODIE found a new guardian who not only understands Border Collies, he really gets Brodie, exactly the smart dog he wanted to add to his life. And, Brodie clearly thinks its a great fit, too! A former GHF adopter, he knew another mature rescue dog was the way to go and when he saw Brodie on the site, he wrote right away! So, Brodie now lives as his constant companion, going everywhere together, playing ball and frisbee and most importantly, sharing quality couch time! Brodie is thrilled, now living in PA.

BRODIE: A petite 8 year old petite Border Collie, Brodie is a super thoughtful boy, really observing everything around him before he decides what to do. He is not impulsive in a new situation, clearly a thinker and smart as a whip. He loves toys and is a joy to watch as he lets loose in play, especially with a frisbee game! He also loves to explore all the fields at GHF and is fast and agile as he checks out everything. Brodie is very smart and also sensitive so will only be placed in adult home with a BC savvy guardian. He is super responsive to his person has a classic BC nature of bonding very closely. Brodie lived as a solo dog so we feel he’d be happiest continuing that way in his new life. He came to GHF from NY guardians who had a toddler that didn’t mix well with him though he was fine with the older child in the home. Brodie is about 35 pounds and is not good with cats.

Sometimes the right BC comes along just as the right people are looking and the match is perfect! JOCK and his new BC buddy, Snivley, hit it off with a bromance that makes you smile from ear to ear, absolutely adorable. “Two peas in a pod”, they explored and chased and raced around the GHF fields to the delight of the new guardians who had so hoped to find just this match. So, Jock headed out to a new life in NY with many acres to call his own, similar to the property he had before but now, he has his new FurMom & FurDad with him 24/7 and a big time canine pal!!!

JOCK: An 11 month old Border Collie, Jock is a stunning boy who is gorgeous to watch hit his stride with a full run! He is super athletic and is absolutely loving his new experience at the Farm with other BC’s. Jock is a toy boy, happy to catch a toss or squeak whatever is thrown his way, but mostly, he loves playing with the dogs big time. He is very balanced, good natured and easy going, doing beautifully with all the new dogs he’s meeting. He also loves to cuddle, happily jumping full body albeit a long body, right into your lap for kisses. Jock is an amazingly happy boy who will adjust beautifully in a new home with another BC pal. He lived on 9 acres in VA since a pup but the death of a guardian led him to come to GHF. Jock is good with dog savvy cats and weighs about 40 pounds, also much taller than the standard BC size.

JAXSON found a great new life with a BC buddy, GHF alum Bing where they both can play and wrestle and chase til their hearts are content. His new guardians not only love the breed, they have a heart of gold for helping a dog in need, first Bing who came to the Farm from China with a very rough, rough start. And, now, sweet Jaxson who lived next door to a scrap metal supplier so he is super sensitive of sounds, at times very afraid of the real world. His new FurDad knew the day he met Jaxson - on Valentine’s Day - that he and his wife could open their home and their hearts to help him, no matter what it takes. Scooping him up when he was hiding in the corner, Jaxson seemed safe and sound in his arms. Jaxson is step by step finding his way in a new life that will be tailored to him! The BC buds live on 9 acres in a rural setting and get to enjoy tons of love and tons of fun! He now lives in PA.

JAXSON: A 1 1/2 year old Border Collie, Jaxson is a really interesting boy - he is full steam ahead - a real high drive dog who needs an outlet for his mind. He is super attentive to sounds around him making him overly alert at times and will need a savvy BC guardian who can refocus his sound sensitivities to action! He is loving his new toy play and the herding games of other BC’s so we will only place him with another BC mentor dog, someone confident. With other Border Collies, Jaxson comes alive with joy, ready to play! He is super sweet and good natured, happy to be with his person, bonding quickly. Jaxson lived in one home since a pup but his NY guardians felt they could not devote enough time to his needs so surrendered him to GHF. He is about 38 pounds and is good with dog savvy cats. Jaxson was a beloved family member until coming into rescue.

Sweet, gentle GINNY found a new life with former GHF adopters who wanted to again open their hearts and home to another senior.  They know they love they give will be returned ten-fold with these special age Border Collies. Coming to meet three seniors, it was this petite little girl who instantly won their hearts big-time, without any question, she was heading home with them to CT.!!  She’ll be with them 24/7 and enjoy a great yard for lots of play and tons of cuddling inside, too.

GINNY: A petite 12 year old Border Collie, Ginny is a vibrant, observant, curious girl, classic in her BC focus and interest in everything around her! She is on duty already at GHF, keeping track of all the other BC’s and wanting to meet everyone who is part of the rescue. This super sweet, friendly sweetheart is adorable!! She has really blossomed at GHF coming into great health and happiness. Quite the character, Ginny is now ready to head off to be someone’s sunshine - she loves every human she meets! She is 35 pounds and good with cats. She also loves her toys though is not too interested in sharing any attention with a dog friend so she’s happily best as a solo dog. She came to GHF from a PA vet hospital that stepped in to save her life when her previous guardians no longer wanted to care for her. A special thanks to Dr. Jennifer Carpenter who reached out to GHF for help.

DEANE found a new life with another herding buddy, a pup who decided it was just fine that Deane was the lead boy which made their friendship blossom pretty quickly. Deane will be with his new FurMom 24/7, hanging out on their 5 acres, enjoying some toy time as well as cuddle time, both of which he will love! Deane now lives in Ct with a new guardian who truly loves and understands the herding breed!

DEANE: A 6 month old Border Collie, Deane is a clever little guy that’s adapting well to GHF. He’s learning he’s really a Border Collie and joining in herding, chase games where he ‘clicked’ into the rhythm with the other BC’s. Smart, attentive and responsive, Deane is changing quickly to be more focused. He lived with little dogs, none bc's, so came in a bit unaware of his true nature but now he’s catching on! Deane loves toys and loves to learn, very connected to his person and wanting to bond fast. He has some worries meeting new people so will only be placed with a confident mature Border Collie, male or female. His understanding of new situations and new people is influenced by another dog so he should blossom beautifully in the right situation. Deane is about 25 pounds and good with cats. He was surrendered to GHF due to a divorce. He requires a fenced yard.

MICK & MAEVE found exactly the life they needed to flourish and feel they are adored! Their new guardians love the herding breeds and were hoping to add a pair that would benefit from their quieter life and enjoy being with them 24/7… we knew this duo would absolutely blossom in their care. Plus, the extra TLC and confidence building that Maeve needs is something they truly wanted to do, too so off they have gone to NJ where they are finally cherished forever! It was instant love, a perfect pairing for all!

MAEVE & MICK: Two year old Border Collies, this pair is clearly bonded and love hanging together…they race and chase and explore at the Farm, happy to see what the world has in store for them. Super friendly, outgoing and joyful, they really keep us chuckling with their enthusiasm for life. They are enjoying all the action at GHF and learning to also enjoy toy play. They have such a good relationship, that we want to keep them together. Mick & Maeve are a nice blend of energy and thoughtfulness with Mick as the well-balanced leader, and petite spitfire Maeve following his direction. Both were strays in VA where a BC lover spotted them, knew about GHF and asked for our help. We’re very happy to have them here. Neither one is good with cats. Maeve is about 25 pounds. Mick about 40.

Miss MOLLY found a new life with a FurMom who is thrilled to have a close pal to join her life 24/7, going everywhere with her! Molly will love that, being able to be her true companion at home and out in the world as well as big time walks and hikes in the great outdoors! Their heartfelt pairing is a very special bond that was easy to see and will clearly grow as years go by. We’re so happy for this very special girl to find such a loving home. She now lives in NY.

At age 6, MOLLY loves her jolly ball the most and will endlessly play with anyone willing to give a toss. Molly is very focused, very smart and very, very sweet. She is super affectionate and cuddly, too, happy to hop on the couch for watching TV.  She is very outgoing, though can be a bit territorial about her yard so will need a fenced yard so she can be managed with strangers who arrive unannounced. She loves having a male BC buddy though can be bossy so could live as a solo dog.  Molly lived in one home since a pup with another BC, both relinquished due to the PA guardian’s death. She is good with cats and 36 pounds.

TYLER found a wonderful life with two guardians who love herding dogs and felt Tyler was the perfect fit for them! He’ll have 14 acres to call his own and be with them 24/7, enjoying companionship and plenty of outdoor fun, too. He will be the center of attention, receiving lots of love and sharing that wonderful sweet heart of his with them. We are so thrilled for this gentle boy who deserves a loving life again. Tyler now lives in NY.

TYLER: An 11 year old Border Collie, Tyler is amazing! He came into GHF as if he’d lived here all his life, mixed with other BC’s, racing through the fields and happily joining in whatever was going on around him. It’s hard to believe he lost his person just days ago and has rebounded just fine to explore a new life, a testament to how he is a well adjusted dog. Tyler lived with two Aussies for the last six years but the recent death of his VA guardian led him to be homeless. He has clearly been a beloved family member and values a close relationship with a person. Tyler also loves to run, a gorgeous dog to watch as he moves outside. We want to give him a large enough property that he can really enjoy since he’s so athletic and in good shape. He is about 45 pounds and is good with cats.

Little RYAN found the right guardians who love herding dogs and especially the cattle dog/bc blend so coming for Ryan was a perfect choice! Ryan not only gets to now try agility and enjoy a very active outdoor life with them both, he’ll help his new canine pal, Tevan, who has PRA and will eventually need a sighted pal to guide him on adventures. We are so excited for Ryan to have a loving home and an important job cause this little guy is so attentive and thoughtful as well as full of puppy energy! He now lives in New Hampshire. He was all kisses with his new FurMoms!

RYAN: A 7 month old Border Collie mix, Ryan is a petite guy with lots of energy to race, chase and play. He absolutely loves other dogs so he’d be thrilled to have a canine pal for life. He is also a big toy boy, playing ball and enjoying a good squeaker game too. Sweet as can be, he’s everyone’s friend. Ryan came to GHF after his guardian worked long hours, not meeting his needs. His first home had children who were allergic to dogs so for his final forever home, we’re going to get it right for this sweet guy!! He is 40 pounds and is good with cats.

The gorgeous and talented BECK found a new life with a herding pal and guardians who just fell in love soon as they met him! They were hoping to add a toy dog with lots of personality and he fit their desires perfectly. After an overnight at GHF, they were thrilled to head off to PA and offer Beck and his new pal, Luna, a great life together. Beck will have 14 acres for daily hikes with his FurMom and be the constant companion to them both while they work at home - perfect for this people centric BC boy!

BECK: A 7 year old Border Collie, Beck is all action, play and fun - he loves life and lives it to the fullest! A very, very happy guy, he will play with any toy anytime, entertaining himself but also happier when a person will join in the game. He is smart, super sweet and VERY friendly. A fabulous combination of traits all in one very classic BC, Beck is a big boy (60 pounds) ready to be in your lap cuddling or racing around the fields with great joy. He was here at GHF at age 3 and returned with the death of his NJ guardian. The past 4 years he lived with pal, Willow, but he could easily be a solo dog with an active guardian. He doesn’t look like he’s aged at all except now he lies down for awhile to catch his breath, thankfully! He is good with cats.

Sweet, innocent ARLO found a new life where he will be patiently allowed to blossom at the speed that works for him, now living with former GHF adopters we know well. Arlo is their 3rd GHF Border Collie and step by step, each that have joined their family, have known true loving happiness. With open arms and full hearts, they instantly knew that Arlo was meant to be with them. He’ll have a canine pal to show him the ropes as well as new guardians who completely understand the breed and all their sensitivities. We’re so happy for this boy to land so well, never again neglected. He now lives in Vermont.

ARLO: A 4 year old Border Collie, Arlo is so funny, learning all about toys and just a delight to watch - his abandon for fun is adorable! As far as we know, toys are brand new for this sweet boy who lived with his father, Ace, in an outside dog ‘shed’. While the lifestyle he led was not ideal, Arlo is pretty happy go lucky about it all and ready to try anything now. He will need a patient guardian to introduce him properly to new experiences since pretty much everything in the real world IS new to him. He is very, very sweet and gentle in nature and could benefit from an easy going female BC mentor dog. Arlo could also be a solo dog with the right guardian. He is about 40 pounds and good with cats. As Arlo blossoms at GHF, we’ll update his bio cause he’s changing day by day as he embraces a life with loving people and lots of freedom to explore the great outdoors rather than a chain link pen. He was surrendered to GHF from PA guardians. He requires a fenced yard

Wonderful ELLA waited a year to find just the right people with just the right situation to be hers! We watched as this sweet, brilliant girl had too much energy for someone wanting a senior and wasn’t young enough for someone not wanting a senior…so she played ball games, went on trail walks and waited…but today was HER day to start a new journey! Her new guardians adored her instantly, seeing that spark that is only Ella. “She’s bright affection and pure joy”, they said, knowing she was exactly the girl they wanted to add to their lives. So, now Ella will hike with them, join them 24/7 in whatever they do and be the companion she loves to be, a beloved canine friend. We already heard that Ella made herself right at home, hopping onto their bed for a well deserved nap! Ella now lives in New Hampshire.

ELLA: A 11 year old Border Collie, Ella is really more like 4 years old - her energy is amazing as well as her joy to play, play, play! She is not only gorgeous, she is fun and smart as a whip and would be a great hiking partner since she’s great off leash. Ella considers every person to be a friend, happy to say hello and then get ready for a ball toss.. she is a quintessential BC in brains, beauty and energy, nothing sedate about this mature girl. Of course, Ella is extremely well behaved and eager to please so understands when ball time is over and happily hangs nearby as a great friend, right by your side. She was a beloved companion to her previous guardian up until the point she had children and Ella had to take a backseat. Though it was hard on Ella to make a big move to GHF, she has adapted well and is ready to find the person who will adore her. We just can’t say enough great things about this very spectacular girl. She is good with cats and fine with dogs who kindly respect her space and let her enjoy her ball game!

Sweet SHAY found exactly the right person who would not only understand her sensitive nature, she would bring out the best of her with lots of encouragement and lots of time (little cheese treats helped her even ignore the camera!) A former GHF adopter, Shay will be with her 24/7, accompanying her while working as her best canine bud, day in and day out.

SHAY: An 8 year old Border Collie with ABCA papers, Shay is an observant girl who likes to watch all the action around her before she decides what she wants to do. Very intelligent, she needs time to understand new settings and feel comfortable before she shows her friendly, sweet side. She is a softer girl and responds beautifully to someone to call her own. Quite a cuddler, she loves attention. Shay can be a bit strong with other dogs so would need a submissive male if paired with another dog. She was relinquished from a breeder who wanted to ‘lighten their load’ of dogs so both Shay & Shawnee came to rescue. She is about 45 pounds and good with cats. She lived with other Border Collies and has been in one home all her life. She requires a fenced yard
