We're very pleased to
share the story of each dog's forever home and to know that we helped guide dogs
and people to find each other. It often takes many people to complete the
link...the shelter people who call us, the people who volunteer to transport
dogs, the owners who work hard to find us and insure their dog is safely
relinquished, the volunteers who coordinate information about the dogs and of
course, the people who foster dogs for us, and the people who drive incredible
distances to meet their new companions ....we've had people drive 12 hours
(roundtrip) to adopt from us. As someone once said to me, why wouldn't I take a
day out of my life to meet a dog? it's a relationship that will last at least 12
years, so it's worth it....
We salute everyone who
helps these dogs and thank you for your generous spirit and hearts.
The dogs you're seeing
have been adopted since we moved to Glen Highland Farm in New York in 2001, but there
are more successes. Over 60 dogs were joined with new families while we lived in
Connecticut, all border collies and border collie mixes. Some of those pictures
will appear here. It's exciting and fulfilling to know that we provided a link
for this connection. Our goal is to help close to 200 dogs a year.
Again, we thank ALL OF YOU for
HELPING THEM!!
