GIB found his forever
home thanks to an introduction from his foster mom to his new guardians,
who absolutely fell in love. They spent time getting to know him, along
with their dog and felt he would be the perfect addition to their family.
Gib will have loads of doggie fun and attention and a life where he is
adored forever. He now lives in Canada.
A petite 1 yr old Border Collie, Gib is full of puppy energy and
always ready for play. He can go and go and go! He is very sweet and
friendly with everyone and absolutely loves other dogs and playing with
toys. Gib is very smart, easy going and eager to bond. He is about 35
pounds, a bit smaller in size. He is great with cats. He is a car chaser
so will go to a home away from busy traffic. Gib will be placed in a home
with young border collies and a savvy guardian who can provide strong

is currently in a foster home and can be seen at the Farm.
RAZZ: A 9 month old Border
Collie/Aussie, Razz is a sweetheart, full of energy and ready to play. He
loves people and is very very happy to be a lap dog with belly rubs and
lots of licks in return. He is a wonderful, sweet dog. Razz will be placed
with another young dog since his energy needs are high. He is very
physical in racing, running and wrestling with other dogs. Razz is about
50 pounds and is good with cats but very active and curious so can
intimidate a cat not used to dogs.
He came to the Farm from a MA
shelter who felt he needed a home that understood his needs so would be
best placed by a rescue.
Arlie & Razz, two
fun-loving, racing, chasing friends will now spend the rest of their lives
together with another wonderful furry friend, Webster, for a life of
seriously great exploring and fun on 13 acres. They were quite the trio in
the fields at the Farm which actually led to this adoption. Their new
guardians loved both of them, planning to only adopt one but once they saw
the great adventure of these three together, they decided it was a perfect
fit for all involved. Arlie, now called Charlie, and Razz live in Vermont.
(a rainy day, we didn't quite capture the fun of this meeting but it was
wonderful to see!)
ARLIE: A loveable 1 year old Border

play. She is very smart so easily trainable and very physical so could be
great in sports. Arlie is about 40 pounds, and good with cats. She
came to the Farm from western PA where she had been rescued by a woman who
stepped in to pull her out of a bad situation where she had been crated 36
hours straight, left alone while the person traveled.
Sweet Ace quickly
charmed the adopters who came to see him with his gentle, good nature and
fun loving spirit to play, play, play. He happily licked the kid's faces

with too much activity or commotion. She is a lovely Border Collie, very
calm and easy going. She is great with other dogs and now learning to play
for the first time, from what we know. She is good with cats and about 40
pounds, typical in size for the breed. Luce will be placed with another
more confident dog and patient guardians who understand how to work with
her shyness. Luce was used as a breeder dog, living in a stall at a farm

loving, not an overly intense Border Collie but she does love to play with

oriented home, without chaos and with seasoned Border Collie people. Since
Aimee was one of the NJ breeder dogs relinquished to the Farm after the
breeder closed. She had a less than ideal background, living
predominantly outside in a cage. A patient person can easily help her
handle new things in a normal life like stairs and cars etc. She has
blossomed wonderfully at the Farm and is now ready for the right person.
Aimee is about 30 pounds and is fine with cats.

from Katrina survived the storm and a long ride to NY!
We received a call from a volunteer
coordinating rescue of numerous dogs in the south due to Katrina. Five
beautiful Border Collie pups had been abandoned. The person with the
dogs had the parents but nowhere to take the pups so left them with the
Animal Control Officer in Lousiana, a coastal area so badly hit that
there was literally nothing left of the town.
Through the kindness of Gerry &
Lisa O'Mara, Karen Leshin & Chris McLaughlin & Nancy Tringali,
these wonderful Border Collies
have all found new homes.-

great sport candidate. Zach is typical in size for his age. He needs a

felt was not fair. He was very loved and sorely missed. He came from PA.

Border Collie with papers, Calley came to the Farm in early November and
went to The Connor House since she was so petite and young. She also

permanently with her, enjoying the Farm and tons of dogs that she will get
to help get ready for their new lives. Sweet Calley won all our hearts and
we're happy to have her join the Farm family. She joins Susan and her

herding interest. She came to the Farm
from Maryland, given up for too much energy.
DEZZI and RYAN
found their forever homes together when the adopters fell in love with
Dezzi and were sure she was the perfect addition to their family, that is,
until they met Ryan, who immediately curled up in their laps, being the
mushy loving boy he is. The only answer was to take them both...Dezzi will

Natane caught our
attention because she looked so much like Brock, here in our rescue but we
have been so overwhelmed with dogs that we had to post her on our courtesy
listings. We have continued to keep track of her at the shelter to
make sure she was safe. And, finally a happy ending is about to
happen....someone posted her information to a frisbee internet list and an
adopter in Texas is bringing her into his home! We are helping to
transport her to the airport for her journey to her new life and are

showing herding instincts. She is also affectionate and eager to bond,

ZOEY found her forever
home with adopters who have another dog from the Farm and felt drawn to
bring Zoey into their home. Lots of patience, love and step by step
training will surely help her trust that living her new life will be
grand!! Zoey now lives in Vermont.
An 1 1/2 year old petite Border Collie, Zoey is a very alert girl focused on
everything around her. She loves other dogs and is interested in
everything they do. She makes up toy games, throwing toys up in the air
and catching them by herself, a very happy girl. She is, however,
undersocialized so is afraid of people at the moment. She trembles and
shakes when being touched yet comes to life when other dogs are around,
eager to initiate play. She will be at the Farm as we help her gain
confidence and we expect over time that she will transform into a dog
ready for a new life and loving guardians. We have had over a dozen Border
Collies with similar needs come into rescue and they are all now in loving
homes. Her recovery may take many many months and she will only be placed
in a home with another dog and a hard fence. Zoey was purposely
bought by another rescuer from a 'backyard breeder' who had left her
living in a filthy dark shed with no human contact. The situation was
reported to the SPCA in NJ.
