ALWAYS ON CALL: Glen Highland is the only option for many Senior Border Collies
RUBY, age 12 from North Carolina
This lovely, good-natured girl lost the only person she’d known since 6 weeks old… RUBY’s life was not ideal living on the street with her person. When he was moved into a shelter, another homeless person took care of Ruby. Then he too, had to move, leaving her at risk with nowhere to go. A kind Border Collie lover scooped Ruby up to safety until Glen Highland could arrange transport.
REILLY age 10 from North Carolina
Reilly needed rescueThis sweet, super friendly guy lost the only home he’d known since a pup when his person became ill with Covid and lost her job. Jammed into a one bedroom apartment without exercise, REILLY became destructive and severely anxious as his person tried to reset her life back to work. He was spiraling downward… REILLY NEEDED RESCUE.
Senior dogs should not be abandoned, their lives put at risk
WE ARE WILLING TO ANSWER THE CALL
A note from co-founder Lillie Goodrich
I ask for your help, yet again. I’m sorry but we are short of meeting our fundraising goal this season.
Those who have already given support, we thank you

At Glen Highland, we have a first-hand look at the trauma of life and the blow dealt these Seniors…it is a hard seat to sit in dog after dog after dog, year after year after year. BUT… WE WANT TO HELP.

Even as I write this, I’m sure my email box is filling with yet more dogs in trouble. It will never end. The problem is not the Border Collies themselves, it is how life works. Deaths, sickness, lost jobs, foreclosures, evictions, allergies, domestic violence, newborn babies and ugly neglect…the list is life itself.

If you care about Border Collies, especially Seniors, please support our efforts or share the mission with others who might want to do so. The funds we need will handle veterinary care for dogs here NOW and those coming NEXT.

Before and after photos - Lives that were changed
While it can feel hopeless and unsolvable, it’s not the case. We are NOT being asked to fix the human problems. We are asked to make sure these wonderful Border Collies through no fault of their own, stay alive. Their final time on earth should not be filled with fear and impending death.
The Border Collies need all of us. We are short of our $25,000 goal. PLEASE DONATE!
