KISMET! A new life for a pair! It is so satisfying to share a bit of ‘kismet’ where things line up just right for canines and humans with the end result lots of love and fun and a great new journey! Both 5 years old, Abbie, the black & white girl and Riley, the merle girl had lived a nice life since youngsters initially adopted as rescue dogs long ago. The FurDad sadly died of cancer a year ago and then the Furmom suddenly passed recently of a stroke. Both were in their mid 50’s. This turn of events left two lovely Border Collies at risk. Our rescue colleagues at Clancy’s Dream in Indiana posted on their facebook page desperate to keep them together (they had placed them before) and lo and behold we had the adopters! In a twist of kismet, that facebook post popped up in our facebook feed just as Lillie was online scanning various BC posts and bingo…a former GH adopter came right to mind.
We are so thrilled to help these two and our dear human friends, too! YAY…HEARTS JOINED TOGETHER! A long ride to NY and now here they are at home…comfortable as can be!

Their new Furmom & FurDad had adopted two Glen Highland pairs over the years and were looking for another pair to add to their lives! They had just reached out to let us know they wanted a young BC - one OR two!! and within days, they had their pair!
