Good news for ABBIE!!! She is officially being adopted by her fosterers, farm favorites Sandy & Carlos, who adopted seniors from GH back in NY and now reside in Texas.

A huge thanks to them for opening their home and heart to her as a foster giving her safe refuge at age 13, and now, as a real part of the family. Apparently, this girl won their hearts with her sweetness though is not so great with the other dogs! Luckily, they will figure it out and she can have time in her final years where she is as special as ever! Thank you both!

ABBIE'S HISTORY

Abbie, a pretty, petite 13 1/2 year old Border Collie, arrived into rescue in July 2023. She is a classic female with a clear focus about being in charge! She loves people especially her new FosterDad and won the hearts of everyone at the vet clinic where she has been living the past 7 months. Abbie was abandoned by her guardian due to illness and asked that the vet euthanize her. Being a healthy Senior, they instead had her signed over to them. Abbie had been a client there since her adoption as a young dog in 2010.

She will remain in Texas, thankfully with our one and only adopter that can foster - a HUGE THANKS to Sandy & Carlos Iglesias who quickly acted to help us help Abbie. She will remain with them under the auspices of Glen Highland as a Resident. The Iglesias’ adopted Senior BCs from GHF years ago, before moving to TX.

Strong- willed and serious about life, Abbie is also super affectionate and enjoys being the center of attention. She loves her walks and seeing the world! Abbie is absolutely sweet as they come and we can just imagine her in years past as quite a joyful force of energy!
