CELIA IS HOME!! Another adoption to celebrate!!
This sweet petite 5-year old Border Collie now has a life where she is safe, cherished and receiving the real love she has deserved for so many years and had never gotten.

CELIA is from the North Carolina backyard breeder group of younger dogs given safe refuge at Glen Highland. Her arrival in such a horrible state made your heart stop feeling the sadness surrounding her as well as the neglect that was obvious on the outside. She needed help emotionally, mentally and physically…top to bottom, this little gal was barely surviving after being a breeding female.

BUT NO LONGER!!!! Celia was tucked in foster care with a former Glen Highland adopter who we knew would gently and patiently allow her to flourish. NOW, she is a gorgeous Border Collie with the best seat in the house, right on her new Furmom’s lap!! She is her shadow everywhere she goes and the big smile today clearly tells the story of her happiness.

We are so very, very grateful for the Harvey family opening their heart and home, giving so much good care to Celia…she needed it ALL and now, it’s FOREVER!! Her big ’sister’ GH alum, DAKOTA gave her vote of approval and kindly showed her the ropes over the past months!

Celia had many health challenges and we are still tackling her heartworm disease as well as a spay eventually. As part of Glen Highland’s LUKE’S FUND, we will handle these costs. We are grateful for the Angels supporting her care and other LUKE’S FUND donors who support our program for younger dogs in crisis. YAY CELIA!!!!!!

CELIA'S HISTORY

Sweet Celia, age 5, arrived in Rescue August 2024 from North Carolina has now been in rescue for four months and what a difference!!

She is still very shy and worries with new things but such a happy, adorable girl WITH HAIR has emerged! Celia follows her foster mom everywhere so eager to be with her…eats like a champ…hangs out with her GH canine pal and is finally having a proper life with great care and great love! A wonderful transformation!

Celia is being fostered in North Carolina with Glen Highland adopters. A huge thanks to Nancy & Doug Harvey for opening their home & hearts to help.
