We are so excited for Kumba to have found the perfect life just for him…another active, fun-loving herding pal and two FurMoms who are devoted 24/7 to their canine family. He’ll have 10 acres for long walks and exploration, just perfect for him. Kumba didn’t quite fit the normal Border Collie look but we knew someone would find him and fall in love, just like we had bringing him him into rescue. It turns one of his new FurMoms literally burst into tears soon as she saw his pictures and knew he was meant to join their lives. We know from years of experience that when that magic moment happens, it’s destiny at play! This is exactly what was meant to be…At age 10, Kumba and his people found each other so his new journey could begin! We had some fun witnessing the blast that he and his new pal, Zoe, had together and captured such great moments from wonderful videos that THIS became his adoption story! This spectacular Border Collie mix didn’t take long to step into a loving new life! We are so happy to have been the bridge to this bit of kismet! Kumba hopped into the car and never looked back!!! |

KUMBA'S HISTORY Handsome KUMBA is having his 10th birthday in rescue at Glen Highland and we are happy to celebrate with him! He’s starting a new journey though unexpected for him, he has a great joy about life and is adaptable. He loves hiking and swimming and playing fetch as well as lots of cuddling. He’s been trained with numerous commands: “wait, up/up, place, back up, heel, come, turn around’ and many others. Kumba is about 65 pounds. A new toddler in the home created anxiety for him so his guardians felt it best to find him a non-child situation. A special thanks to Ann Miller and Tim Mills for help in moving Kumba from South Carolina to Virginia.
