Sweet 8 year old LOLA endured 6 years of her life living outside in a pen in NY,
very very cold during the current tough winter.

Thankfully, a dog lover and former GH adopter knew of her plight and
reached out to people to help, including Glen Highland.
She needed to find a place for her within 24 hours ‘or else’.

As always, it takes a ‘village’…
A border collie lover stepped in to give her safe haven in her home and
began working with Glen Highland to find a permanent place.

Just as Lola arrived in a temporary but thankfully safe setting, a wonderful adoption applicant from Delaware appeared. As ‘they’ say…kismet unfolded…a bit of magic…the perfect pairing. Not only was Lola beautiful, but she had the same problems this adopter had just handled in their beloved BC mix who passed…thyroid issues, excessive weight to loose, no muscle development and tick borne diseases to treat…Miss LOLA WAS HOME…they knew exactly how to proceed…lots of love and good care!

They drove 5 hours, booked a hotel & spent the weekend getting to know this gal! Such a sweet hello unfolded and onward to a new life for this lovely Border Collie who so deserved better!

Her new name is ALOLA…meaning steadfast, unwavering!

A special thanks to Sarah Fowler-Rogers…she stepped in within hours to pull Lola to safety.

We are so humbled by the way everything unfolded and pleased to offer vet funding needs as well as ‘match-making’! A bit of magic!
