Lovely PRIM found exactly the right people and place for her to live a loving life as the ‘Princess’ she’s meant to be! Prim stole their hearts soon as they saw her picture, and were so excited to meet her. Now, home with her new canine buddy, she is enjoying being the one and only Border Collie! We are thrilled for her…she now lives in NJ with a private lake where she’ll be taking lots of fun walks with her FurDad. And summers, she’ll head off to New Hampshire for their vacations! |
A classic herding oriented Border Collie, PRIM found herself in need of a new home when the person she lived with since a pup had to move into assisted living due to dementia. Sadly, only one of the two BCs could go so this lovely girl came to us at Glen Highland. Family members kindly made sure that Prim would not land in a shelter, instead in rescue where she would be loved and cared for properly, and hopefully adopted into a new life. We are very happy to see what she wants as she experiences a whole new situation. Prim is people focused with a friendly, good-natured personality, clearly a beloved family member. She is a healthy girl and knocking off some weight, already losing 18 pounds off her 80 pound size. She was previously free-fed and more sedate in recent years. Special thanks to Ann Cattaneo & her two-legged & four-legged family (5 GH alums) for fostering Prin in Vermont. FOSTER HOME UPDATE "She is settling in nicely! Happily lives with everyone inside and out. She sleeps a lot on the dog beds inside in the air conditioning. So easily fits in. She loves hanging out on the pool deck.
She now walks around with us as part of the family instead of hanging out by herself. She is getting excited to run to me in the yard! Cute!" |
