The very sweet and handsome 10 year old RIPKEN landed in a ‘foster to adopt’ home. As expected, won the heart of his new FurMom who is thrilled to again have a Border Collie companion 24/7. The happiness shown in this picture says it all…two souls united together as one! Anyone who has been gifted the joy of a Border Collie knows exactly how important this moment is… and for Ripken he thankfully went from one loving home to another with only a short stretch in a shelter.

RIPKEN'S HISTORY This handsome 10 year old fella found himself in the Baltimore city shelter once his person became ill. Thankfully the shelter reached out for help and within a few days, Ripken is back in a home with a former GH adopter who had patiently been waiting for just the right fit. She needed a Senior who had a settled nature with some energy for play but mostly, a wonderful companion to fill her home with joy again. She loved three wonderful Glen Highland BC’s over the years and was hoping for one more! Ripken, named after the famous Baltimore Oriole’s player, Cal Ripken, is having a good start. He loves her big yard and her big bed, too. She finds him in nesting in the covers making it just the way he wants it. Supposedly a big ball boy, we’ll see what pictures we can add to his bio once he has a bit more time. Ripken is in a ‘foster to adopt’ situation. We are optimistic for both human and canine to be a great match! Thank you to Shawn Colvin for transporting from Baltimore and to our Transporter, Aiyana Persinger for making the haul to Pittsburgh!
Ripken handled the shuffling car to car just fine and is adjusting quickly to the new home, too.
