At 10 years old, LUCY is a lovely natured Border Collie mix with a total focus on people - she wants to be right by your side wherever you go! She is a happy girl who is so easy going herself that it’s clear she was well loved though her care was very lacking. With proper vetting to handle her medical needs, she is now much happier and healthier and ready for a new life!

Lucy loves to say hello to dogs and people alike in a gentle manner, curious and calm. It’s great to see her feeling more confident and outgoing with greater stamina! Lucy will do best living in a single level home without stairs due to arthritis. Pain management will need to be continued.

Her arrival in a Georgia shelter was due to a confiscation of many dogs and cats. The shelter team reached out to rescue because Lucy was so incredibly sweet and deserved a better life.

We are so grateful for Pat Stumpf who opened her home and heart to spare Lucy the risk of euthanasia, due to her age and lack of space at the shelter.

Also, many thanks to the supporters from Bartow County, Georgia and beyond, who pledged donations to help "Molliemoose" now known as LUCY!
