At age 4, Willa is not only beautiful, she is a very sweet gentle Border Collie. She loves to hop on the couch for a cuddle or sleep in the bed nestled in for a good rest. Willa is clearly people focused and wants to be close with her humans! For a dog who lived outside most of her life, she loves the cozy comfort of a couch AND a person to call her own!

However, Willa lived a sheltered life never taken anywhere by car or walked in a neighborhood or never meeting new people, so a smaller life with a quieter situation more rural is best for her. A busy home setting or busy neighborhood would not be ideal.

Willa is not a high energy BC since she was never shaped with toys or heavy activities. Instead, she lived with numerous Border Collies in a backyard breeding situation. Since other Border Collies were her world, she’s very good with multiple dogs, but favors having one good BC buddy for play. A male Border Collie friend would be ideal.

Her new life in rescue brought a new favorite to her list - hiking - she absolutely loves daily hikes and is great off-leash. In fact, hiking has given her great confidence to explore and be more outgoing about everything. We would love for her to have adopters who hike regularly! Willa is about 40 pounds and good with cats.

Willa is being fostered in Vermont with Glen Highland adopters. A huge thanks to Ann Cattaneo & Christian Dymond for opening their home & hearts to help.
