JILL, age 8, landed at Glen Highland due to the death of the guardian. She is a happy-go-lucky, super friendly girl who wants to be with everybody! A bright joy to be around, she LOVES affection so happy to be right by your side no matter what you do. She is a classic loving companion Border Collie.

Jill came with her housemate, Jax, age 11 and while they get along pretty well, they have separate interests and needs. Jax grows tired of being bossed around and controlled by Jill. And, she really wants a person to call her own.

Since Jill is now trimmed to a good weight, she will soon undergo the surgery process of handling her severe hip dysplasia and will be with us for a many more months through surgery and recovery.

Jill is very healthy and should do well once surgery on each hip is completed. We are so looking forward to her being painfree!

Often when pairs come into rescue, their differences are greater than realized and giving them a life on their own gives them more happiness. These two do not ’need’ to be together. Her pal, Jax is ready for a real life where he can be the center of someone’s world.

The guardians passed away a year ago leaving Jax and Jill in the care of a family member determined to keep them out of a shelter. The living situation meant the duo had no yard and only leash-walking. Jill & Jax came to GH from South Carolina.

A huge thank you to Michael Strauss, Ann Miller and Elvin Atkins for moving them to us in Virginia.
