Marked for rescue, Pippa was spared that sad fate and in 48 hours, was safe at a vet office for boarding and full vetting. A few days later she was moved to BCSave’s team for overnighting prior to a long 35 hour transport to Glen Highland. On arrival, she literally laid down and didn’t awake for many, many hours, just exhausted. Estimated to be 9 years old, Pippa has been a champ throughout all this chaos, sweetly licking kind hands offering affection. She walks on leash when asked; sits by your side when you sit, just the kindness nature, clearly someone’s dog at some point. She is remarkable and resilient and so loving. Sadly, PIPPA has heartworm disease so we will navigate what’s right as we strengthen her health and let her rest, finally enjoying being back in a home. CLEARLY SHE LOVES THE NEW SETTING AT GLEN HIGHLAND AND FIT RIGHT IN! A HUGE thanks to Amanda Mayo who devotes her time to reaching out to rescues when there is no time left. And, as always, our appreciation to BCSave and Adam Derby who transported Pippa. We are grateful to help this lovely girl. |
