• NOT YET AVAILABLE A 10 year old Border Collie ball nut, Reilly is a playful guy ready to go for any toss or take a fast run for any frisbee. He is focused, agile and eager to interact with his person! Reilly is also super friendly and sweet, loving belly rubs and cuddle time. He has a good off-switch though is by no means a sedate Senior. Reilly also loves other dogs, especially enjoying his new BC pals at Glen Highland. He fit in with five dogs easily and is excited to meet anyone new. He previously lived with a Maltese. In his new life, we really want him to have a canine pal, even more than one is good. We do not know about cats. On the health side, Reilly is in great shape. All his diagnostics were terrific. However, his emotional state needs a bit of help so he can re-balance and have less anxiety about being left alone. In his previous home, in North Carolina, he was with his person 24/7 and did not adjust well to her returning to work so he landed in rescue.
It will take some months for Reilly to adapt to this totally different life of BC pals, someone coming and going and lots of hikes and property walks…all designed to provide stimulation and variety. A more enriching lifestyle should help him blossom into a more secure Border Collie. Special thanks to volunteers who transported Reilly to us: Karen Noblett & Aiyana Persinger. |
