GOODBYE GUY....

At age 15, Senior GUY crossed to spirit shortly after arrival at Glen Highland. It was the kindest conclusion for a hard life without proper medical care.

His conditions were clearly how he lived for a long time. His spinal issues from neck to tail left him in pain with every move as well as a large oral mass and other disgusting dental infections plus very labored breathing all signaled serious health problems.

While we would have loved more time to help this sweet fella, we allowed him to be spared the sad confusion at a busy, loud shelter filled with stressed dogs. It's hard to comprehend a family abandoning a dog at this age to endure such a lonely, confusing experience but we'll never know their reasoning.

Guy should have spent his final time on earth with someone he knew, reassuring him that he could go, held in total love. Instead it was us left to help an innocent soul be released from his ailing body.

We can only hope for a graceful exit for all these beloved dogs who give so much to their humans.

GUY... you did a great job on earth, you gave your heart and soul...
We felt you and your special gifts... godspeed…
