NANU is turning 13 and in style befitting the energy of this lovely boy, he has landed a new home in this New Year where he will be in the spotlight which he just loves!

He is so athletic, so mentally in tune and wicked smart and one big-time cuddle-bug which now he’ll share with his new Fur-Mom! She is a former GHF adopter who loves to open her heart and home to Seniors so Nanu is going to have a blast!

His adoption visit was classic Nanu - mr friendly, mr toss the ball, mr make myself right at home…that IS him. Even the new guardian’s visitor was wowed by Nanu and couldn’t believe he was 13!

We will miss the wide-eyed face staring intently at us but feel great knowing he has so much love and so much fun ahead…all just for him!

Nanu's Story: A 12 year old Glen Highland alum, NANU found himself back in rescue when his guardians had to move south and couldn’t take him. He’s a very flexible Border Collie, happy to hang his hat where life is good AND full of ball play! Life for Nanu is a ball!!!! Upon arrival back in rescue, he became totally absorbed with the red jolly ball and getting it to move as well as placing his favorite tennis ball exactly where he knew it HAD to be thrown. He is also a very, very friendly, good-natured boy, exactly how he was back in 2014. Nanu co-exists beautifully with other dogs, happy to hang out but eagerly awaits his person doing that one thing that makes him happiest - throwing the ball!

Nanu has some interest in cars if near his home so would need a fenced yard away from traffic. His back-end is also a bit compromised so a first floor home gives him the most comfort and access to the people he loves.

Nanu is about to turn 13, though truly acts more like an 8 yr old! He’s athletic and eager to play so always happy when someone engages his interest in toys! He loves everything that moves. He has an affectionate side, too, where he will happily jump on the couch for tv time and enjoy belly rubs! Nanu will chase and herd cats so is best in a non cat home.
