A HOME to Home adoption! PRINCESS at age 10 found life was not working well for her and thankfully, her guardian reached out to Glen Highland for help. A family of toddlers was causing such distress to Princess, that it was best to find her an adult home that could focus on her needs. Having been the ‘original child’, it can be very common for Border Collies to have trouble handling the commotion of children and the loss of connection that comes with this type of lifestyle change. Happily, former GH adopters had let us know they were ready to add another mature Border Collie since the passing of their beloved GH alum. Both situated in the northeast made it easier to put the parties together so Princess landed in a beautiful countryside setting as the sole focus for her new FurMom & FurDad. They are thrilled to share this new journey with her and though it’s taking time for her to settle in, a picture is worth a thousand words! Princess is clearly happy! "Princess is a sweetie. She is settling in and is enjoying belly rubs. We’re taking things slowly with each day better than the day before. She has already gone for a ride with us to a local conservation area that she enjoyed exploring on leash. She clearly has come from a loving family!" Thank you again for helping us to adopt Princess! - Lydia & John
