This gorgeous, happy-go-lucky 9 year old fella arrived in August 2025 - a truly wonderful Border Collie! Great with other dogs, great with everyone he meets and an affectionate cuddler inside.

Rolo bonds very, very closely to the person he lives with and easily adjusts to a routine. Calm inside, he is curious outside and loves walks and car rides and stays very connected to the person he is with, clearly happy to have company and be WITH someone. He is a gentle natured, very loving guy.

We are looking for a securely fenced yard and a person who wants a deep relationship with their Border Collie!

Known as a ‘houdini’ of sorts before rescue, he was picked up running loose in his previous situation. We know he does not like thunder or gun shots so presume he might have had a history outside alone so escaped to avoid the scary noises, like many Border Collies.

He is approximately 55 pounds. Rolo is GOOD with cats.

Rolo had a non-functioning right eye from birth so it was removed in order to prevent high pressures from developing. He is absolutely sighted in the left eye and sees like any other dog!

Rolo, along with his sister and a BC mix pal lost their home due to the illness of their guardian. He previously lived with her for five years, very loved.

He came to Glen Highland from a home in North Carolina.

Special thanks to Ann Cattaneo for fostering Rolo and providing the learning he needs.
