At the age of 14, we will provide the safety net of the Senior Sanctuary for the rest of their days. Jim & Julie Dean Adams are happy to open their home and hearts to this wonderful pair while Glen Highland covers the financial needs on the road to better health. We are so glad to have these two as a part of Glen Highland’s Senior Family! And we so appreciate the ANGEL support!
At 14, HAROLD & HENRY found themselves homeless due to the death of their guardians. Landing in a North Carolina shelter only days away from euthanasia, we saw their pictures and just had to help! Amazingly both Harold & Henry are in pretty good health - no heartworm; no tick diseases; no renal or liver disease so their main challenge is pain management. Both have BAD spondylosis (back pain) with Henry’s SEVERE enough to make movement a crippling experience. We are hoping with gabapentin on board, both will quickly gain relief and they will knock off the extra weight which is not helping. Before vetting, the two endured a ‘spa day’ so, now with horribly nasty ears cleaned, dirty matts cut away, extremely long nails gone and vetting sorted… both are on their way for great love and happiness. Life has thankfully turned around for them JUST IN TIME! |

We are so appreciative of Jim Adams and Julie Dean Adams, GH adopters who raised their hands to give this pair safe haven. THANK YOU BOTH! Seeing them in their Virginia foster home, it’s clear they are feeling safe. The shelter had barely any information on their previous lives but knew they lived outside a lot.Those days are now over... Harold & Henry will be cozy and adored eventually getting to know

JUNE 2026 UPDATE: 
The next challenge for Henry is a dental - a root abscess needs attention though he needs to gain strength and better nutrition before we tackle sedation.
