11 years old, LUCY is a lovely natured Border Collie mix with a total focus on people - she wants to be right by your side wherever you go! She is a happy girl who is so easy going herself that it’s clear she was loved, though her care was VERY lacking. With proper vetting to handle her medical needs, she is now much happier. Thankfully, we finally solved her medical issues but she has been diagnosed with Cushings disease. Now on lifetime meds, many symptoms have resolved though she requires continual rechecks and very specific medicine. Glen Highland provides for Lucy’s ongoing care so she can remain in the foster home permanently. They adored her but worried about the costs of adopting a Senior. Our ANGEL program helps keep Lucy in this loving home where she gained trust that she was safe. Lucy had such a rough history of neglect and was confiscated by animal control. The shelter team in Georgia reached out to rescue because Lucy was so incredibly sweet and deserved a better life. Lucy is a good example of what the Sanctuary can offer to transform health and happiness of a dog seriously in need.
