This bonded pair of 12 year olds - Princess & Oscar - are fabulous, just the most good-natured, happy-go-lucky dogs! They arrived full of joy, curiosity and sweetness winning over friends easily and quickly. Oscar is the ultimate lap-dog and Princess is the thinker of the two, making sure things are in order, just like most female BC’s. She is a BC mix for sure but has the Border Collie nature 100%. Oscar’s Aussie personality is quite evident, more of a go-with-the-flow, ‘ all seems good’ to me kinda guy…just adorable. They are both FULL of energy, not sedate Seniors whatsoever. In fact, if we didn’t know their ages, we would have guessed 8 or 9!
They went into foster care and stayed! We had a feeling these two would win the hearts of their foster guardians and it surely happened. Since a Senior PAIR is not only a big emotional commitment, it’s also a bigger financial commitment, Glen Highland will contribute funds for vet care in the years ahead. The ANGEL support for Princess & Oscar helps us to do this in an ongoing manner. They will remain on the site as Residents, though now in a home in North Carolina. We are doing the same for Senior Lucy in Georgia.
The pair lived together for 12 years but suddenly had nowhere to go with the death of their guardian, and then the wife moving to assisted living. Relatives reached out to us... clearly, both dogs were beloved family members so findings safety for them was of paramount importance. Princess & Oscar came to Glen Highland from South Carolina. |
